Your pain is not the end of your story. At M2M, we walk with you through addiction, PTSD, substance abuse disorder, and depression — because healing is possible, and you are not alone.
"The mess you are in today is preparing you for the message you will carry tomorrow."
— James Efi, Founder
Mess to Messenger (M2M) is a compassionate initiative by Eficonsult Ltd., founded by James Efi in Nigeria. Driven by a deep passion for those suffering in silence, M2M was created to be a lifeline for people battling addiction, PTSD, substance abuse disorder, and depression or anxiety.
Through community outreach — in schools, churches, mosques, and social events — and a growing online presence, M2M reaches people where they are, meeting them with compassion, evidence-informed support, and the unwavering message: your story is not over.
We walk beside you, not ahead of you. No judgment — only genuine care and understanding.
We believe every person has the capacity to heal, grow, and become a messenger for others.
Breaking stigma through honest, courageous conversations in schools, places of worship, and beyond.
Our compassionate medical team brings years of clinical expertise, ensuring you receive evidence-based and holistic care on your journey to recovery.
These conditions are real, they are common, and they are treatable. Understanding what you or a loved one is going through is the first step toward healing.

Before programs and resources, we offer human presence. We believe the simple act of being truly seen and heard can begin the healing process. Our team approaches every person with gentleness and deep respect.
Shame keeps people trapped. Through bold conversations in schools, churches, mosques, and communities, we challenge the cultural stigma that silences those who need help the most. You are not your struggle.
Informed communities save lives. We create and share resources that equip families, leaders, and institutions with the knowledge to recognise, respond to, and support those in mental health crises.
Healing requires more than inspiration — it requires direction. M2M connects individuals with appropriate resources, professional referrals, and community-based care tailored to the Nigerian context.
Mess becomes a message. We celebrate those who have walked through addiction, trauma, and despair and emerged as voices of hope. Their stories are our most powerful tool for inspiring others.
We recognise that healing involves the mind, body, spirit, and community. Our approach honours the whole person — working alongside families, faith communities, and health professionals.
If you or someone you know is in immediate distress or danger, please seek emergency help. You are worth fighting for. Reaching out is a sign of tremendous courage, not weakness.
Contact Us ImmediatelyFounder James Efi believes that awareness begins in the community. M2M actively engages with schools, religious institutions, social gatherings, and digital platforms to carry the message of recovery and hope.
We bring mental health conversations into educational institutions, helping young people recognise warning signs early and understand that help is available and honourable.
Faith communities are powerful healing spaces. We partner with church leaders to integrate compassionate mental health support within spiritual care, removing shame from the conversation.
We engage with Muslim communities to address mental health within the framework of faith and compassion, ensuring that support is accessible and culturally sensitive.
From community gatherings to town halls, M2M takes the stage to spark honest conversations about addiction and mental health where people naturally come together.

I never thought I would find someone in Nigeria who truly understood what addiction felt like. M2M gave me a safe place to speak without shame. Today I am over a year into recovery and I help others in my community.
After years of PTSD following a traumatic event, I had given up. A friend shared an M2M video with me. I reached out and for the first time, I was heard. The compassion I received started my healing journey.
Depression had taken everything from me. I stopped going to church, stopped talking to family. Then James Efi came to speak at our mosque. His words reached a place inside me I had forgotten existed. I chose to live.
